She is only nineteen.
She is his new stepfather’s daughter.
She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.
But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.
Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…
Blaire just may have fallen too far.
Gosh where do I even begin? So Blaire, sweet, innocent, brave Blaire. Gawd but I loved her! She's such a strong heroine, the girl has been through the hell and back seriously it’s all been there, done that and got the t-shirt for her. Alas it’s not over for sweet Blaire, after her douchebag of a father pisses off with his new wife she's left to fend for herself in world she does not belong to or understand. Losing her mother and moving away from home, she's thrust into the world of the rich and spoilt, where she stands out in good and bad ways. Knowing she's not wanted she sets herself up with a job in the hopes of saving enough to get her own place, that mission is far from easy with the mouth-watering Rush hovering around every corner. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews for Fallen Too Far, and a lot of it is criticism of Blaire and all I can say is ya'll just don't get it. What you see as her weakness is actually her strength, and the whole 'it's embarrassing she needs to stand up for herself' line is ridiculous because she does stand up for herself maybe not the way you like or would do but damn it she does not take anyone’s BS. She knows who she is, where she's from and there's beauty in that because it’s hard to stay true to yourself when thrust into a world you don't belong to. For me I thought she had a will of effing steel, she endured like any good heroine does and Abbi made it in a way where you admire her for it rather than hate her.
“I had fallen too far. I was in love with Rush Finlay.”
“Blaire, I’m not a romantic guy. I don’t kiss and cuddle. It’s all about the sex for me. You deserve someone who kisses and cuddles. Not me. I just fuck, baby.“
“I don’t want to lose you. I’m in love with you Blaire. I’ve never wanted anything or anyone the way I want you. I can’t imagine my world now without you in it.”
“He wasn't what sent me running. He was what had made me want to stay.”
